Living Values- supported by UNESCO “Living Values” is a global values education program, delivered in over 64 countries. It was developed in response to concern about our children and the global increase of violence, suicide, addiction and abuse. The program is based on the fundamental principle that each human being has the potential for peaceful and loving attitudes and actions. It encourages the vision of a world free of exclusion, a vision of dignity and respect for each person and culture. We offer a variety of experiential activities and practical methodologies to explore and develop 12 key universal values: Peace, Respect, Love, Happiness, Freedom, Responsibility, Honesty, Humility, Tolerance, Simplicity, Cooperation and Unity. These activities encourage young adults and their parents to reflect on which values are most important to them, to deepen understanding, motivation and responsibility with regard to making positive personal and social choices. Young adults are encouraged to access their own creativity, self expression and inner gifts. |
